Part 8 from Spain to Morocco. Rather than be a sheep and head to Carlos the famous ferry ticket seller in Algeciras that most people use for their tickets for the crossing from Spain to Morocco (Tangier Med) we thought we would check out another option. We found it not only to be much quicker but it was cheaper not to buy from Carlos in our case. If you are buying a ferry ticket from Spain to Morocco, then you might find this very interesting!

Part 9 we arrived at Chefchaouen. It has been 12 years since we first found this place and it was really nice to return to the same camp site and explore the city in depth. The camp site hasn’t changed much but we got to see a lot more of the city this time.

Part 10 we left Chefchaouen and found a route down to Fez that was mainly off road. If you have the Wickiloc app you can find the route by searching jedthespread. It was a two day drive with a lakeside camp spot about half way. We did get beaten on the second half due to the wet conditions, but that section was mainly farmland anyway. The good stuff is in the first half.

The first section takes you along the top of the Riff Mountains and through a lot of small mountain villages that see not much tourist traffic. 4X4 is essential.
