USA Bound – Syncrofest, Utah Trails & The Next CVC Adventure
As of April 16th, the Campervan Culture shop will be closing temporarily until May 7th while we head off on another trip, this time we’re crossing the USA.
This isn’t just a short break… it’s the start of a new chapter in the CVC travel series.
From Buffalo to California
Jed will be flying out to Buffalo, New York State, where the journey begins. From there, the plan is simple: head west.
The final destination is Syncrofest in California, an event we’ve been proud to support as a sponsor for the last 7 years. It’s a huge gathering of Vanagon and Syncro owners from all over, and a real highlight of the global VW community calendar.
But getting there is half the story.
Across the USA
This year’s route takes us right across the heart of America from the east to west coast, travelling with good friends and familiar faces along the way.
Jed will be joining up with Chris from Uniwerks, driving his Vanagon, alongside their mate Russell, as they make the cross-country journey together.
Along the way, we’ll be linking up with fellow Vanagon owners and getting involved in a full off-road caravan through Utah, one of the key highlights of the trip. Expect remote trails, big landscapes, and proper desert travel.
Jed’s son Isaac and his friend Jack will also be flying out to join the crew for part of the adventure.
Why We’re Closing the Shop
To make trips like this possible, and to film them properly, we need to step away from day-to-day operations for a short period.
So the shop will be closed from April 16th to May 7th, with dispatch paused during this time.
This trip isn’t just about travel for us, it’s also about testing gear, gathering ideas, and pushing further into the kind of environments that shape everything we design and produce at Campervan Culture.
Filming the Whole Journey
As always, we’ll be filming the entire trip so you can follow along as it happens.
From the highways of New York State, to the desert trails of Utah, to the final arrival in California. This is going to be one of our biggest and most varied journeys yet.
We’ll be sharing updates along the way, so it’ll feel like you’re right there with us on the road.
See You on the Other Side
The shop will reopen on May 7th, but the stories from this trip will be rolling out long after that.
Until then…
Get some gravel in your travel.
