Purchased and imported from Rottweil in Southern Germany in March 2015, where the van had been used as a summer van and stored during winters, with no rust in any of the key areas.

Our family has grown since then and we are moving on to a bigger van.

Since driving her back from Germany I have replaced and/or upgraded all of the key systems on the van (engine, electrics, camping components) and addressed all of the common faults that occur on these vans (dash printed circuit board, windscreen motor blower, turbo, engine, etc).

A reconditioned engine was fitted in 2020 by Doug’s VW Werks in Angmering. I can’t recommend enough that you seek out specialists like Doug who really know these vans for maintenance. His service is outstanding.

The van has just been resprayed and is in excellent condition with no major rust in any of the key areas. It has been upgraded with respect to it’s originality whilst making it a practical camper. The internal camping electrics have been upgraded and rewired throughout and a solar panel added alongside two leisure batteries for camping and to trickle charge the vehicle battery.

Reconditioned 1.6 JX TD Engine fitted by Doug’s VW Werks in Angmering January 2020, at 134, 980km and has done approx 5,000km since. New clutch fitted and front suspension stripped and refurbished whilst engine being replaced (cost £4.2k). Serviced subsequently by Doug.
