After a very cold start to this year we were finally blessed with some sun shine, although it is still quite windy and cold at night. It was time to hook up with some good friends we had not seen for a while for our second Gower camp out in South Wales.
The first night was a wild camp and after an early morning walk we were in for quite a treat due to the unusual cold weather for this time of year. What am I on about? Check out the video to find out….

Lovely …just lovely. The ice was a bonus, what a find!
Camping made easy with a campervan, despite the elements against you.

Another good vid, we were at the Gower a couple of weeks ago and had a great time, I need to speak to you about camping in south of France and if you know of any good places??
I know heaps of good places and would be only to happy to share some of them with you. My email is Jed@campervanculture.com if you need to contact me directly.

another good video, paying more attention this time I noticed your westy is LHD and thought it would feel right at home on the highways in Canada. just imagine the fun and video that could be had if you shipped over here. of course you could always just fly over and borrow a westy or two from local fans.
cheers
Jake is moving to Vancouver in a year or so Gerald and taking his Westy with him so you might see us on a road near you soon.
Jed, not so sure I’ll see Jake on the road. Being in Manitoba I am some 3000km from Vancouver. Canada is the second largest country on the planet with nearly 10 million sq kms so the distances are somewhat dramatic compared to the UK. If he plans to travel across country I suggest lots of spares as VANAGONS in general and SYNCRO’s in particular are quite rare here. Winnipeg is actually just west of the geographical center of Canada so basically the middle of nowhere. :-)
cheers
Another awesome video! Itching to get my van through it’s MOT and start the “summer” roadtrips!
Thanks Rick, get a move on mate hehehehe…
Another inspiring video, we really enjoy them. The split saucepan in this one is a good idea, who makes them?
Hi Dan,
They were made by a company called Swan in the 1980’s and they are not made anymore unfortunately. We bought ours second hand from Ebay.
That’s a shame. I’ll keep an eye on ebay.

Great Vid, Jed. Motivating even for one who gets out (83.5 Westy) quite often in the desert of SW USA.
And Claudio, what a nice rig and location! Too bad about the coming winter. The good destinations will still be there “en la primavera”. Greetings from Arizona!
Hi Darrell, glad you like the videos. I have been watching things about Arizona on youtube and it looks an interesting place.
Cuál es el lÃmite de peso en ese puente? :-)
Looks like very nice site, could you publish where they are.
Regards
Tony
Hi Tony, the first spot is a wild camping spot in the Brecon Beacons and the second is a campsite at Port Eynon on The Gower, South Wales. Your van looks pukka mate.
Hi Jed,
Where did you get your funky pans from ?
Hi Steve,
They came from EBay UK. Nifty hey!!!
I love your videos, very inspiring. I’m moving from N Ireland at the beginning of June and after a month in Scotland I’ll be re-locating to South Wales, I hope our paths can cross sometime and you can check out my 4WD Hiace camper. Take care..
