The side mosquito or bug screen net for VW T25/T3/Vanagon vans is no new thing. In fact if you ordered a new Westfalia van from the dealer it was an option and there were press poppers fitted around the side door to accommodate this, they are also present on the tailgate. If your van is a USA van and there are no poppers around the door frames then fear not… We added some for you so you can fix them yourself or make exra fixings if the fixings that are already on your van are off.

Why we decided to produce the VW T25/T3/Vanagon Side Door Mosquito Net With Zip

First up we have handled and used previous aftermarket options for rear door screens and the holes on the mesh on those are too wide. They were good for keeping the wasps, flies and bigger bugs out but we found smaller mosquitoes and really small bugs (that are always the issue), that are the real pests still get in easily. This was especially evident when in Scotland with the infamous “midges” or the mosquitoes in pretty much every country we have used a van in. We made our mosquito net screens with a stronger quality mesh with a smaller weave to give the best chance of keeping critters out while still giving good airflow.

The colour and quality of other aftermarket nets was just not consistent. Some batches have a grey net, some have a white net etc. We wanted to offer a range of mosquito net screens that are quality checked at the manufacturing stage to be consistent in colour and quality and use a superior quality material. For example, if you buy a side door mosquito net screen now and you decide to buy one of the other mosquito net screens for the tailgate or cab doors for example, you really want them all to match with the same colour mesh and fabric right? With our mosquito net screens this is what you get.

Unlike other nets we have seen as a factory option or aftermarket, our zips can be opened from both sides. A simple feature that has been overlooked in the past apparently! Our nets also contain no animal products.

Updated fitting note – These fit early and late model left hand drive (the sliding door on the right side) Westfalia vans. Early Westfalia vans don’t utilise the triangle section on the top left corner. This item can also be made to fit none Westfalia vans by drill and fixing the extra poppers that come with the net.
