This is the highest spec alternator for the vans we drive and the only purpose made alternator on the market with a super high 175 amp rating. Amazing for those of us with bigger power needs and this keeps us out one the road longer. These are a direct replacement for the factory alternator on the 1.9DG 2.1DJ 1.6TD style engines. When showing in stock these are physically in stock ready to ship. If (or when as we expect these not to hang around for long) these go onto back order you can still buy one but please expect a 28 days production time for new stock to arrive.

Because these units are made purely for the VW T25 T3 Vanagon and not just a bunch of random cheap parts that have been cobbled together from other vehicles. You use the same drive belt as VW intended and they do not require any extra drilling to the unit or your van in the hope it may stay in place. These fit from the box just like you would expect.
