This is something we have been working on for ages to replace the old side mounting system we used in the Arctic Circle trip. Getting this very handy range of gear to fit a VW T25, T3 Vanagon has taken some real head scratching over the last few months but we are now happy with what we have built and designed. This system is ideal for those of you going on longer trips or have a multi van style interior with no room for permanently fitted water gas/fuel storage due to the lack of cabinets. This window panel replacement is reversible so can work on both LHD and RHD vans. Just simply assemble to suit. Although we market this for the side opposite the sliding door, it can be fitted on the sliding door side to store shallow items on the exterior while making use of the full internal storage benefits.

CVC Sherpa Side Mounted Storage System Base Plate

The CVC Sherpa Side Mounted Storage System base plate is made of lightweight aluminium and is held in place firmly by the windows rubber seal. Just simply remove your old window that fits inside the vans factory frame and replace it with the CVC Sherpa Side Mounted Storage System pre drilled plate. In short it replaces the glass. The Sherpa Base Plate has been professionally shot blasted, etch primed and powdercoated in a matt black smooth finish. The base plate has pre drilled holes that support a range of our own accessories that only we stock here in the UK. Once the base plate is fitted then you get to asemble the accessories that fit the pre cut mounting positions for the cargo rail and other items any self respecting explorer would need on the road less travelled.

The CVC Sherpa Side Mounted Storage System Base Plate Includes –

2 x lengths of pre cut aluminium cargo rail for extra interior fitting to allow extra interior stowing of gear.

6 x Cargo rail load ring fixings that simply clip in anywhere along the cargo rail using one hand. Brilliant for hanging stuff from or lashing stuff to.

3 x CVC produced quality storage straps.

1 x length of pre cut aluminium cargo rail for the exterior of the base plate that fits along the top section of the Sherpa Base Plate. This allows for extra fittings for Hi-Lift style jacks, shovels, axes etc,

1 x Stainless steel eye locking point to take a Frontrunner combination lock for canister security or any other wire lock.

1 x Stainless steel bottle top opener to stop you swallowing shards of glass while trying to be clever using your door catch as a bottle opener or braking a tooth opening a beer when celebrating finding the perfect camp spot.

The CVC SHERPA SIDE MOUNTED STORAGE SYSTEM base mount comes pre cut with all of the location points for the various mounts and acessories we supply applied.  The location points may be the same in similar products we do not sell but we can not guarantee this. To have something that fits and works perfectly from out of the box and to avoid extra drilling we recommend only to fit the relevant accessories we supply in this product section. If you drill the CVC SHERPA SIDE MOUNTED STORAGE SYSTEM and attach anything that we do not list then any warentee is void. Matt Back etch primed and powder coated finish. All parts are either quality light weight aluminium or stanless steel.

 

* Please note, this panel will only fit vans with a factory widow frame and not panel van base vans that have been converted by cutting windows into it.
