Description

Our Cargo Gear Panel Range has been something we have had in the pipeline for a while. We wanted to make use of the hidden areas that just held insulation and if your insulation hasn’t been changed, or installed correctly, there’s a good chance it is damp and creating rust from the inside of your vehicle. Our Cargo Gear Panel range aids in reducing this problem, whilst adding storage with more than just a thermal benefit. When sitting down and designing this one we did notice that the long wire that pulls on the door catch from the handle runs horizontal so we made six top pockets so the cable can run through the middle of them without affecting storage space inside the pockets. There are also self adhesive strips along the back of the pockets that stick inside the door to aid in avoiding future sagging.

  • More Clever Storage – Making use of the space, without adding clutter.
  • No Drilling Required For Later Doors With The Shorter Handle ( SEE “PRODUCT FITTING UPDATE -” BELOW)  We know how fussy us van owners can be and what a big ‘NO NO’ to some it is to drill into your vehicle to fit accessories. Our CVC Cargo Gear Storage Panel range requires no extra holes drilling into your pride and joy.
  • Upgraded Look – Upgrading the old panels with a fresh grey or tan quality material, inline with the factory look.
  • Available As Individual Items – Available as individual items in the CVC Cargo Gear Storage Panel Range to allow you to buy or collect a full matching set for your van, giving your van a clean and consistent look throughout.
  • Pricing – We ship fast worldwide and our pricing is as competitive as possible, keeping you the customer in mind.

This sliding door cover offers 7 individual compartments for storage. The door opens easily, thanks to the flush fitment, and everything is easily zipped up, keeping everything secure when in transit.

We like to put thermal socks, hats and scarfs in ours, to give us great insulation.  It’s also home to our charging cables, to avoid them being scattered throughout the van.

Please see the colour match to the Westfalia cabinets in the product images.

Fits both early and late side door types and comes with all fixing clips for very easy install.

Fitment note – Sensible usage needs to be applied with this panel. Due to it fitting the sliding door, over stuffing the panel pockets with cargo can result in the panel catching the van as it opens. We recommend to only store lightweight items inside the pockets and fill them to 70% of their total volume. There are seven pockets so plenty of storage space is available.

PRODUCT FITTING UPDATE – WE NOTICED THAT WITH SOME OF THE EARLY DOORS WITH THE LONG DOOR HANDLE ON THE OUTSIDE AND THE DOUBLE DOOR HANDLES ON THE INSIDE THAT THE BOTTOM LEFT LOWER IS SOMETIMES IN A DIFFERENT FIXING POINT THAN ALL THE OTHER DOORS FOR SOME WEIRD REASON. IN THIS CASE THE USER CAN DO ONE OF TWO THINGS.. 1 SIMPLY MAKE A NEW FIXING HOLE POINT IN THE DOOR FOR ONE OF THE CLIPS INCLUDED. 2 POP A SPOT OF ADHESIVE OF 3M TAPE IN THIS AREA. THE SMALL SCREW HOLE THAT ALL THE OTHER VAN YEARS HAVE CAN ALSO BE MISSING, ALTHOUGH THE PRESSING CAN BE SHOWN ON THE PANEL. NOT REALLY SURE WHAT VW WERE THINKING HERE BUT WE JUST THOUGHT WE BEST POINT THIS OUT.  ITS NO BIGGY!
